Application for West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2020 has been started. The West Bengal Judicial Service Examination will recruit 28 Civil Judges (Junior Division). Candidates will be selected by West Bengal Public Service Commission Notification number: 12/2020. Any Indian with the following qualifications can apply for this post.
Salary scale: Rs. 27,700-44,770, with other allowances.
Vacancies: Total vacancies 26 (Unreserved 16, Scheduled Caste 3, Scheduled Tribe 1, OBC A 3, OBC B 2, Physically Handicapped 1).
Eligibility: You must have Law degree from a recognized university or institute and must be registered as an Advocate in the Bar Council of any State or Union Territory of India. You need to know how to speak, write and read in Bengali (this does not apply to Nepali speakers)
Age limit: As on 4th July 2020, the age should be between 23-35 years (Date of birth between 5th July 1985 to 4th July 1998). Candidates in the reserved category will get a relief on the upper age limit as per the rules.
Type of Examination: The West Bengal Judicial Service Examination will be in three stages: Preliminary Examination, Final Examination and Personality Test.
Application fee: Rs. 210 with service charge and GST 8 Scheduled Castes / Tribes and Physically Handicapped do not have to pay fees. Fees can be paid both online and offline.
Application Procedure: Go to the website https://wbpsc.gov.in/ and apply online. Candidates must have valid email ID and mobile number. Online application can be made till 11.59 pm on August 2.
