The West Bengal Pollution Control Board will recruit 47 Assistant Environmental Engineers, Junior Environmental Engineers, Environmental Analysts, Senior Accounts Clerks, Laboratory Assistants and Junior Environmental Assistants. Any Indian with the following qualifications can apply in this exam.
Vacancies: Assistant Environmental Engineer: 5, Junior Environmental Engineer: 12, Environmental Analyst: 3, Senior Accounts Clerk: 5, Accounts Clerk: 3, Laboratory Assistant: 7, Junior Environmental Assistant 13.
Remuneration: Accounts Clerk, Laboratory Assistant and Junior Environmental Assistant at the level of 6 will get 22,700 Rs. Assistant Environmental Engineer at Level 16 will get 56,100 Rs. Rs. 35600 for Level 12 Junior Environmental Engineer, Rs 32,100 for Level 10 for Environmental Analyst and Rs 26,900 for Level 9 for Senior Accounts Clerk.
Assistant Environmental Engineer: Must have computer knowledge with Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Biotechnology / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Environmental / Instrumentation / Automobile or Public Health Engineering.
Junior Environmental Engineer: Electrical / Biotechnology / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Environmental / Instrumentation / Automobile or State Council for Technical Education Recognized Diploma in Public Health Engineering
Environmental Analyst: Must have Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Geology / Biology / Zoology / Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Physics / Biochemistry / Biotechnology, Computer Knowledge and Environmental Laboratory / Environmental Laboratory.
Senior Accounts Clerk: Must have computer knowledge with Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Accounts Clerk: Must have computer knowledge from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent to secondary level.
Laboratory Assistant: Higher Secondary qualified from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Junior Environmental Assistant: Madhyamik or similar qualified from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
In all cases, you need to know how to read, write and speak Bengali (this does not apply to Nepali speakers).
Age limit: As of November 1, 2020, the age must be between 18-36 years. Candidates in the reserved category of West Bengal will get exemption in the upper age limit as per the rules
Candidate Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected through computer based examination The test centers are: Kolkata, Siliguri, Durgapur, Kharagpur
Application fee: GST 7 with 300 rupees State Scheduled Castes / Tribes and Physically Handicapped do not have to pay fees
